Electrolysis

Electrolysis works on any skin or hair color, unlike laser hair removal which works optimally on light skin with darkly pigmented hair.

HOW IS ELECTROLYSIS DONE?

A tiny probe is inserted into the opening of the hair follicle where a small amount of electricity or a sodium hydroxide is introduced to the base of the hair follicle (hair bulb) in order to destroy the root of the hair and eradicate the blood supply.

IS ELECTROLYSIS PAINFUL?

There is a sensation associated with the treatment that may be interpreted as a slight warming effect. Your electrologist will go over tips to minimize the discomfort.

HOW LONG DOES EACH TREATMENT TAKE?

Treatment time can vary from 15 minutes to an hour or more, depending on previous hair removal methods, the area of the treatment and the amount of hair you wish to remove.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE NEEDED TO GET PERMANENT RESULTS?

It all depends on the project and the coarseness of the hair, and previous methods of hair removal. A Personalized Treatment Plan will be suggested for your individual needs to accomplish optimal results. To be discussed during consultation.

CAN UNWANTED HAIR BE REMOVED FROM ALL BODY AREAS?

Unwanted hair can be removed from most body areas; however, electrolysis is mostly common for facial hair removal or smaller body parts.

WHAT IS THE DOWNTIME? CAN I GO TO WORK THE NEXT DAY?

Absolutely, most clients return to work right after receiving a session. Slight redness is visible which subsides in about 30 mins.
